Alisha Kay Baker celebrated her first birthday with a party Saturday, Feb. 28, at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bryan Keith Baker, 402 Wexford Drive. MOUNT STERLING, Ky. — The George Rogers Clark Cardinals couldn’t overcome 25 percent second-half shooting as they fell to host Montgomery County 51-40 in the 40th District tournament finals Saturday night. After being tied 29-all at the half, Clark managed only two points in the third period and 11 total in the second half on 4 of 10 shooting.
Mrs. Betty Berryman, general manager of The Winchester Sun, presented slides of her recent trip to Japan at the “Japanese Celebration” tea hosted by the Clark County Extension Homemakers March 2.
