The two-day John Michael Montgomery Country-Fest got under way Friday, drawing a large, enthusiastic crowd to Lykins Park. Musical acts on the first day of the festival includded Kelly Cash, Brad Alford, Kimberly Carter and Carryin' On, Kentucky Headhunters, Jake Owen and Montgomery Gentry. Gates open at 8 a.m. today with music beginning at 10 a.m. Scheduled acts include Lauren Mink, Kayla Smith, George Molton, Colt Ford, Exile, Jamey Johnson and headliner John Michael Montgomery. The festival concludes with fireworks scheduled for 11:30 p.m.
