BENNIE FORREST JOHNSON
Bennie Forrest Johnson, 102, of Winchester, husband of Mary Brandenburg Johnson, (the couple would have been married for 71 years on Jan. 3), passed away Sunday at the Clark Regional Medical Center.
A native of Clark County, he was born Nov. 4, 1910, to the late Thomas W. and Nancy Moore Johnson. He was a United States Army World War II veteran, retired from the VA on Leestown Road after 30 years of service, member of the First Baptist Church for many years, and the Sphar Sunday school class.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one son, Ronald Wayne Johnson.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Rolan G. Taylor Funeral Home, 289 S. Main St.
Visitation will be Thursday from 11:30 a.m. until the hour of service. Burial will be in the Winchester Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Brian Tidd, Harold Ritchie, Austin Ritchie, Ben Palmerton, Charles Hastings, Neville Pearson and Jacob Tidd.
