D. JAYNE WOODALL
A funeral mass for D. Jayne Woodall will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, July 26, at St. Theresa Catholic Church of Cordele, Ga.
The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 25, with the Rosary beginning at 7 p.m.
Woodall, 61, of Cordele, Ga., died Friday night, July 20, at her residence. She was a native of Catskill, N.Y.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Hannah Jo Owens Hendricks.
She was a bereavement counselor for United Hospice and a dedicated member of St. Theresa. She was a licensed practical nurse in the geriatric field for 25 years and a substitute teacher.
She had a love for the history of the Civil War and World War II. She was the first student at Eastern Kentucky University to take two English literature classes during the same semester, during which she maintained a 4.0 and 3.75.
Jayne, having a love of books, was an avid reader. She also had a bachelor of science in sociology.
She is survived by her husband of 22 years, Jimmie R. Woodall of Cordele, Ga.; her son, John D. Woodall of Cordele Ga.; her daughters, Paula K. Woodall of Cordele, Ga., and Jessica R. Woodall of Oklahoma; her father, Irving Hendricks of Catskill, N.Y.; her brothers, David Hendricks of Catskill, N.Y., and Irving "Bud" Hendricks of McAlester, Okla.; and her grandchildren, John, Justin, Jada, Jackson and Jordan.
Jayne was a lover of animals and her family asks those that desire to honor her with a memorial to consider the Humane Society of the United States, Dept. MEMIT9, 2100 L St. NW, Washington, DC 20037.
