Chester Haggard, Clark County High School class of 1942, and the former Emily Caswell Steele, CCHS class of 1944, are celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary June 9 in Huntsville, Ala., at the Magnolia Trace, Magnolia Room.
Hosts for the event are their daughters, Emily Katherine (Kitty) and Elizabeth Helen (Beth).
Chester Haggard, who served in World War II, worked for NASA where he participated in multiple projects, including the Lunar Rover, Gravity Probe B and the S-IV Stage of the Saturn V.
Emily Haggard is a happy homemaker.
Children include Beth, Kitty and Richard Haggard.
Grandchildren include Wade Scott Hopkin, Daniel Chester Hopkin, Abby Haggard, Rachel Haggard and Paul Haggard.
