Herbert Douglas Bradley Jr., 86, of Winchester, beloved husband of Rachel Johnson Bradley, departed this life Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, at the residence of his son in Winchester. 
He was a son of the late Herbert D. and Viola Summerfield Bradley, born in Louisville on Oct. 12, 1926. He was employed as an engineer at General Electric. He also served in the United States Army during World War II and was a deacon of the First Baptist Church in Punta Gorda, Fla. 
He is survived by his beloved wife, Rachel Johnson Bradley of Winchester; two sons, Paul Bradley and wife Kathy of Winchester and Tom Bradley and wife Elizabeth of Glen Ellyn, Ill.; two daughters, Cheryl Langreder of Winfield, Ill., and Martha Meyer of New Lenox, Ill.; one brother, Ralph Bradley of Texas; three sisters, Mary Breeden of Virginia, Esther Boylan of Florida and Martha Weber of New Albany, Ind.; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. 
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert D. and Viola Summerfield Bradley. 
He also leaves behind a host of other relatives and friends. 
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. today at Porter & Son Funeral Directors in Campton.
Burial will be in the Veterans Cemetery in Rosslyn.
Visitation was Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012, at the funeral home.
