Jeremy Scott Owen, 21, of Winchester, son of Kevin D. Owen and Peggy Lowe, of Winchester, passed away Saturday as the result of a motor vehicle accident in Madison County.
A native of Winchester, he was born Oct. 15, 1991. A 2010 graduate of George Rogers Clark High School, he was a member of the Mt. Zion Christian Church, attended First Church of God, was an avid basketball player at the YMCA, and he worked for Value City Warehouse in Lexington.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by one brother, Wesley Owen of West Virginia; nephew, Weston Owen; grandparents, Paul D. (Brenda) Owen of Winchester, Betty Ballard of Winchester and Joe Lowe of Winchester; uncles, Keith (Desiree) Owen of Winchester, Brian (Emily) Owen of Paris, Ky., and Aunt Connie (Jeff) Ishmael of Paris.
He was preceded in death by grandmothers, Betty Chism Owen and Eleza Ballard.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Rolan G. Taylor Funeral Home, 289 S. Main St. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Lee Cruse officiating. Burial will be in the Winchester Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Wesley Owen, Andrew Ware, Bronce Arambul, Michael Cornett, Drew Embs and Ryan Scott.
