Jesse Lee Reed, 78, husband of Ruth Johnson Reed, passed away at 10:40 a.m. Saturday, April 7, at the St. Joseph Hospital.
A native of Bourbon County, he was the son of the late Jesse H. and Kate Elizabeth Ecklar Reed. Jesse was a retired realtor and auctioneer, the owner of Southwind Golf Course, an Army veteran and a member of the Goshen Primitive Baptist Church.
Additional survivors include his son, Barry Reed; his daughter, Susan (Billy) Todd; two grandchildren, Blake and Ross Todd; two brothers, Edward (Florence) Reed and Wayne (Betty) Reed; two sisters, Betty Shelton and Elizabeth (Jerry) Sullivan; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 11, at Scobee Funeral Home by Elder Edward Reed and Elder Rodney Worrick.
Burial will follow in the Clarmont Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Mr. Reed's grandsons and nephews.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jack and Virginia Ross, Bud and Janice Parks, Dr. Danny Corales, Dr. John Harris and his friends at Southwind Golf Course.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 10.
