Minnie Geraldine Abney, 62, of Winchester, wife of John S. Abney, passed away Monday at the St. Joseph Hospital.
A native of Jessamine County, Ky., she was born July 5, 1950, to the late Edward and Florence Cooper O’Mally. She was a member of the Baptist Faith.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Samuel Maupin of Winchester and John (Teresa) Maupin of Winchester; daughter, Mary Ann Abney of Texas; brother, Claude Harris of Lexington; sister, Kathy Harris Gonzales of Lexington; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Rolan G. Taylor Funeral Home, 289 S. Main St., with Bro. Dale Sparks officiating.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 11 a.m. until the hour of services. Burial will be in the Paris Cemetery.
