A new state law and a Clark County Board of Education decision will combine to substantially relieve teachers’ non-instructional duties starting today. Teachers in Clark and around the state won’t have to accompany students to the lunchroom because of a new law that says all teachers must have a duty-free lunch period every day.

Kentucky Wing Civil Air Patrol squadrons participated recently in their annual, week-long summer encampment, held this year at Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama. Lt. Col. Alice P. Tucker, Winchester, commander of Group IV in Central Kentucky, was encampment commander.

The descendants of John “Willie” and Mina Belle Stewart held their annual reunion recently at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Earnest L. Pasley, Montgomery County.
