Robert Dye, Antonio Clark, Bradley Ramsey and Harold Campbell, all of Clark County, recently returned from a week at Trooper Island, a KSP-sponsored camp for boys at Dale Hollow Lake.
Miss Mattie Lee Ledford and Jerry Lewis Conkwright exchanged marriage vows at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, July 11, in a candlelight ceremony at First United Methodist Church. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Homer Ledford and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Asa Conkwright, all of Winchester. The Rev. Al Gwinn officiated at the double-ring ceremony.
The Winchester Municipal Utilities Commission won’t be giving credits for the three days in June area drinking water had bad taste and odor due to low chlorine levels and is looking into ways of preventing taste and odor problems from algae.
