Hart Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, met Oct. 9 in the Helen Hunter Room at the public library with Mrs. Howard Tilson, regent, presiding. Following the ritual, led by Ms. Tilson, Miss Nancy Rupard led the members in reciting the Pledge to the Flag. The secretary and treasurer’s reports were submitted and approved. A report on the Battle of Blue Licks was given by Robert F. Collins.
Tony Leonard, noted equestrian photographer, was guest speaker at the October meeting of the Winchester Photo Clique. His works have appeared in many nationally-known publications and are known for their technical perfection and beauty.
Diana Dunn, who is retiring from the Daniel Boone National Forest after more than 19 years of service, was honored at a retirement ceremony Oct. 27 at College Park.
