LOUISVILLE (AP) — The Nunn-Lawrence ticket for governor and lieutenant governor, endorsed by several Republican leaders, is officially launched. Louis Nunn, Glasgow attorney, announced his candidacy for the GOP nomination for governor last Saturday. Bemis Lawrence, a Jefferson county commissioner, followed suit Thursday with an announcement for lieutenant governor.

Mr. and Mrs. Snowden Walters purchased a home from Mr. and Mrs. Martin Epley, Bloomfield Road.

Julian B. Palmer, son of Mr. and Mrs James Palmer, recently was pledged to Beta Theta Pi Fraternity at Centre College, Danville.
