Charged
— George Carpenter Jr., 19, of 201 Washington Square, was charged Tuesday with second-degree rape.
— Jeffrey M. Haney, 61, of Lexington, was charged Tuesday with driving under the influence.
Accident
— At 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, deputies responded to an injury accident on Muddy Creek Road in which Nicholas Hall, 18, of 6901 Muddy Creek Road, was traveling north and ran off the road. The car slid sideways and struck a tree. Hall was flown from the scene to the University of Kentucky Medical Center with head injuries.
