A Clay City woman was transported to the University of Kentucky after a wreck on the Mountain Parkway Friday.
Clark County Sheriff Berl Perdue said 35-year-old Thelma Lewis was traveling on the Parkway when part of her tire came loose, causing her to lose control of the vehicle. The vehicle hit the side of the Interstate 64 overpass bridge, causing it to flip over.
Lewis received a severe head laceration, but Perdue said her injuries were not believed to be life threatening. She was flown to UK as a precautionary measure.
