Hot work on a hot day

A blacktopping crew with The Allen Company of Winchester lays down a new, smooth surface asphalt on Mount Sterling Road Monday afternoon. The blacktopping, part of a Kentucky Department of Highways project, extends from Conkwright Middle School to the railroad tracks on North Main Street, just past Fannie Bush Elementary School. Blacktopping work is expected to be completed Tuesday, July 3.
