Lunchroom Managers to meet
The Clark County Retired School Lunchroom Managers will meet Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. at Jade Garden.
State to close two roads for culvert work
Two roads will be closed temporarily this week by the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet’s Department of Highways due to work on culverts.
In Clark County, the department will temporarily close Ky. 3371, or Becknerville Road, through Thursday from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. daily.
The location for the closure on Becknerville Road will be between Ky. 1927 (Colby Road) and Ky. 1923 (Waterworks Road). Motorists can use Ky. 1927 (Colby Road) and Ky. 1923 (Waterworks Road) as alternative routes.
In Fayette County, Ky. 1927 (Todds Road) will be closed today from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. The location for the closure on Ky. 1927 will be between Ky. 1973 and the Clark County line (mile point 6.3).
Conkwright SBDM to meet Wednesday
The Conkwright Middle School-based Decision-making Council will meet Wednesday at 4:15 p.m. in the school library.
Compassionate Friends meeting Aug. 21
The Compassionate Friends support group for bereaved parents will meet Tuesday, Aug. 21, at 7 p.m. at Hospice East. Parents who have lost a child at any age to any cause are invited. Adults only.
