March 2 priority deadline for fall BCTC scholarships
The priority deadline for scholarships to Bluegrass Community and Technical College is Friday, March 2, for the 2012 fall semester.
To be considered for a scholarship, people have to complete all BCTC admissions requirements, complete the 2012-13 scholarship application, submit a copy of their most recent academic transcript, submit one letter of recommendation and submit an original statement at least one typed page in length. To receive a scholarship, financial need must be demonstrated, which is determined by completing the 2011-12 Free Application for Federal Student Aid, available at www.fafsa.gov.

County finance meeting Feb. 15
The Clark County Fiscal Court will have a special meeting 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 15, at the courthouse to discuss county finances.
