Petition for Fiscal Couty expansion circulating
A petition to put the option for an expanded Clark County Fiscal Court on the ballot in November is still being circulated. Anyone wishing to sign the petition can call 744-4860 or 771-3717.
U.S. 60 bridge over Interstate 64 closed
The U.S. 60 overpass bridge is closed for repairs. The bridge will reopen Tuesday, July 31, at 8 p.m. The bridge is over Interstate 64 at exit 101.
Sale to benefit Homeless Coalition
There will be a Pampered Chef party on the back steps of the Clark County Courthouse Tuesday, July 31, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., to benefit the Clark County Homeless Coalition. Thirty percent of all sales will be donated to the CCHC.

Class of 1948 sets Aug. 1 meeting
The Clark County High School class of 1948 will meet for lunch Wednesday, Aug. 1, at the Winchester Country Club.
All class members are invited.
Democratic Woman’s Club to meet Aug. 6
The Democratic Woman’s Club will meet Monday, Aug. 6, at the Beech Springs Market pavillion, off Boonesboro Road, at 6:30 p.m.
Dinner is potluck. Drinks will be provided by the club.
JoEllen Reed will speak about her campaign for state representative and Rachel Swanson, executive assistant with Kentucky Young Democrats, will speak about the Young at Heart Program.
