EKU professor speaks at Second Thursday
A retired Eastern Kentucky University history professor will share his views on Kentucky as a “Crossroads of Humor” at the May 10 Second Thursday Program at the Bluegrass Heritage Museum. All Second Thursday programs take place at the museum, 217 S. Main St. Refreshments are served and admission to the program is free.
Last day to nominate for Conkwright elections
Today is the last day to nominate candidates for parent representatives to the Conkwright Middle School school-based decision-making council. The election will be May 16 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the school.
Nominations will be accepted by email to parkstt1@yahoo.com or by fax at 745-2027. Votes can also be faxed to the school.
Nominations for PTO officers will also be accepted.
Clark Republican Party to meet Saturday
The Clark County Republican Party will meet at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Steak House on Lexington Avenue.
All registered Republicans are invited.
Human Services Council to meet
The Clark County Human Services Council will meet at noon Tuesday, May 15, at Arby’s. All human service agencies representing Clark County are invited to send a representative.
