Academic steering committee moved
Monday’s meeting of the Academic Steering Committee of the combined middle school SBDM councils has been rescheduled for Monday, Dec. 3 at 4:30 p.m. at Clark Middle School. The change will give committee members time to analyze the K-PREP assessment data, which will be released Friday.
City leaf collection starts Monday
City-wide leaf collection will begin Monday. City residents should rake leaves to the utility strips in front of their homes, but not into the streets to avoid clogging the storm drains. Vehicles should not be left sitting at the curb in front of or behind piles of leaves. Public Works employees will not pick up piles of leaves that have tree limbs or other foreign debris. These items will damage the machines. Collection efforts will begin with three units in operation. No set days have been designated for specific streets. One unit will begin on the west side of town, another unit will be on the south and southeast sides of town and the third unit will be working on the northeast and northwest sides of town. Crews will make complete passes through the city, weather permitting and barring any equipment failures, until all leaves have been collected. Leaf collection will end on Friday, Dec. 21.
Clark Republicans meeting Saturday
The Clark County Republican Party will host a rally in front of the Clark County Courthouse today at 6:30 p.m. State Rep. Donna Mayfield and Congressional candidate Andy Barr will speak.
