Precinct workers needed

Precinct workers are needed for the Nov. 6 election. Workers will be needed from 5:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Nov. 6.

They must also be available for training Oct. 29 at 2 p.m. or 6 p.m.

The Salvation Army needs kettle volunteers

The local service unit of the Salvation Army needs volunteers for the kettle drive. Anyone interested in being a bell ringer should contact Shannon Cox at 744-3249 or cox1828@roadrunner.com. The kettle drive is Nov. 17-Dec. 24.

City commission meetings changed

The Winchester Board of Commissioners will not meet for its two usual meetings in November. The Nov. 6 and Nov. 20 meetings have been cancelled and rescheduled as a special meeting Nov. 13. This meeting will include the 4:30 p.m. special meeting and the 5:30 p.m. regular meeting.

Concealed weapon class rescheduled

Saturday’s concealed weapons class has been rescheduled for Saturday, Nov. 17. The class will be from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Cost is $75.
