Soles4Souls race this weekend
The Soles4Souls 5K will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at The Path on Boonesboro Road. Pre-registration begins at 8 a.m. Cost is $12 with a pair of new or gently used shoes or $18 without shoes. All shoes will be donated to the Soles4Souls program.
Fish and Game Club selling hay
The Clark County Fish and Game Club is selling rolls of day hay for $20 per roll. Rolls have been stored in a barn, and not exposed to inclement weather.

Red River bridge to close for repairs
Beginning July 31, the Kentucky 89 bridge across the Red River at the Estill-Clark county line will be closed to all traffic while repairs are made to the bridge’s neck. The closure will last no longer than Aug. 30. Traffic will be detoured using Kentucky 1958, Kentucky 15 and Kentucky 82 through Powell County. Drivers also can use the Mountain Parkway between Winchester and Clay City.
