Explorers car wash

The Winchester Police Explorers Post 2255 will have a community car wash Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Police Department. There’s no charge, but donations will be accepted. Proceeds will fund the Explorers’ competitions and other activities.

Art studio open house set for Sunday afternoon

The Studio Downtown – The Fine Arts Connection will have an open house reception celebrating its grand opening, Sunday from 3 to 6 p.m., 21 S. Main St.
Visitors will meet instructors of music, art and photography and view custom photography by featured photographer Phil Ling.

Emmanuel’s Table is next Tuesday night

Emmanuel’s Table, a free monthly dinner at Emmanuel Episcopal Church, 2410 W. Lexington Ave., will be from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 28, in the Parish Life Center behind McCready Hall. Signups aren’t required. Transportation will be available from the Phoenix House at 4:45 and the Brown Proctor at 5.
Carry-out service will be available, but no deliveries.
There will be a service in the chapel following dinner.

Sons of Confederate Veterans to meet Monday

The Sons of Confederat Veterans, Gen. Roger W. Hanson Camp, will meet Monday at 6 p.m. at the Clark County Public Library, 370 S. Burns Ave.
Main topics of the meeting will be election of new officers and the fundraising events for the Clark County Confederate soldier memorial.

Relay for Life awards ceremony Monday evening

The Relay for Life awards ceremony will be Monday at 6 p.m. at the Clark County Extension Office, 1400 Fortune Drive.
Awards will be given to the top fundraising individuals and teams.

Storytelling camp at Clark Middle

The Clark Middle School Speech and Drama Team will host a storytelling camp from June 27 to July 1.
