LEXINGTON — Construction work is under way for the Kiddville Road/Mountain Parkway interchange in southeastern Clark County, The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet’s Department of Highways announced Friday.
The $8.34 million project includes a new bridge over the parkway and four access ramps, according to a statement issued by the agency. In addition, KY 974 (Kiddville Road) between the Mountain Parkway and KY 15 will be reconstructed.
The project was let on Dec. 14, 2012, and was awarded to the Allen Company Inc.
Significant impacts to traffic will not be effective immediately. Signs will be in place to alert motorists of any changes with the road work.
All scheduled work is subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways, according to the statement.
