The Clark County Retired Teachers Association annual picnic and meeting will be at 6 p.m. Aug. 21 at the Clark County Extension Office. There will be a potluck dinner and new retirees will be officially welcomed.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet will host a public meeting to discuss alignment alternatives for the Veterans Memorial Parkway Extension Aug. 13 from 5 to 7 p.m. at George Rogers Clark High School.
