RAYMOND TOWNSEND
Raymond Townsend, 82, widower of Janice Watkins Townsend, passed away at 6:53 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012, at Fountain Circle.
A native of Clark County, he was the son of the late John Ike and Stella Mae Townsend.
Raymond was a retired car wash installer and a Baptist.
Survivors include five daughters, Debbie Burke, Diane Begley, Laverta Watts, Barbara Ann Martin and Betty Jean Townsend; a son, Raymond Puckett; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ruby Crowe and Mary Richardson; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife and parents, Raymond was preceded in death by six brothers and one sister.
Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 22, 2012, at Scobee Funeral Home by Brother Ed Hopper.
Burial will follow in the Winchester Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 21, at the funeral home.
