We have a Daughter Christy Elkin Clem and her Husband William Clem, they have three children ages 13, 6, 3. On Sunday September 23, 2012. She had just moved to Smith Ave in Winchester KY 40391, Clark County KY. The Family had just rented an apartment on the second floor of a two story home. She was awakened at 4 am by the person who rented the bottom half of her home. They had a fire in the kitchen and told My Three Grandchildren and the mother and father to get out, that the house was on fire. The fire destroyed everything. They lost everything, it was not their fault and now they can not find a place to live. He works full Time for Winchester municipal utilities and she is a stay at home Mom and they barely make it. They need help very badly.Red cross put them in a hotel for 3 days They have “nowhere to go no money no furniture, no household items”. People have been great to donate items. They need a home for the children. The family is in very bad need of a home and any household items they can get. Please help them get a home. They need one badly. And I really don’t know what to do to get help. Yours truly the Elkin and Clem Family

The Red Cross will help with some utilities also. Salvation Army maybe able to direct them also.
They may have to lower their standards a notch to make it but rents are hard to come by since many are losing their homes to the banks. The prices are inflated because of it.
I had a relative on disability who had the same problem and they made it work. It isn't easy and many churches wouldn't give them the time of day but they have a roof over their head.(The rent was $150 more than they had been paying & it was and is almost impossible but it was the only solution) Good Luck.
