Winchester man killed, three hurt in Tenn. crash

A collision on Interstate 75 in Tennessee left a local man dead last week.

William Kagin, 38, of Winchester, was killed in a collision with a tractor-trailer in Campbell County, Tenn., last Wednesday, according to the Knoxville News Sentinel.

Kagin was headed north on the interstate in a Chevy Suburban when he collided with a northbound tractor-trailer around 2 a.m. The truck was driven by Juan Blackwell, 42, of Lincolnton, N.C.

Kagin’s passengers, all of Winchester, included Chasity Ingram, 25; Henry Caudill, 39; and Tommy Little, 31. The passengers also were injured in the crash and taken to the University of Tennessee Medical Center. Blackwell did not suffer any injuries.

According to the report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Kagin and his passengers were not wearing seat belts.
