Chandler English Struck out 12 and scattered three hits in five innings to lead the Orioles to a 5-2 win over the A’s in a Major League game Wednesday night at Lykins Park.
English added a single and a triple, while Jacob Fugate and Blake Pedigo added two hits apiece to pace the Orioles, who scored three runs in the sixth inning to break a 2-2 tie and provide the final margin.
Trent¿Reddix slapped a pair of singles, while Keats Ripy ripped a double for the A’s. Starting pitcher Mason Baber finished with five strikeouts in three innings.
In the other game, the Braves scored five runs in each of the last two innings in a 13-3 win over the White Sox in four innings.
Conner Gray and Logan Ramsey led the Braves with three hits apiece, including a home run by Ramsey, followed by Tyler Miles and Alex Back with two hits each. Miles and Gray combined for seven strikeouts.
