Prep Roundup: Lady Cards get big win at Pendleton County

GRC Volleyball

The George Rogers Clark girls volleyball team earned a sweep of Pendleton County Thursday night in Falmouth.
Clark defeated the Lady Wildcats 27-25 and 25-18.
“They were a very good defensive team, but our size and athleticism hurt them. We served the ball extremely well, making it hard (for them)¿to pass the ball. We talked about what a big game this was and we needed to come out ready to throw many things at them. I was pleased, because we executed beautifully.”
Curry also was pleased with her team’s overall defense, led by Amy Kao and Maddie Hamlin and also liked other individual performances.
“I was very pleased with Amy Kao and Maddie Hamlin’s defense,” Curry said. “Sandra Skinner played a great game at the net for us. Sydney Wright played a great game, serving the ball very well for us.”
